Police Referrals

This is a joint initiative between the North Queensland Domestic Violence Resource Service (NQDVRS) and the Queensland Police Service (QPS).  With the consent of clients, police refer community members who are experiencing Domestic and Family Violence or using violence within their relationships to NQDVRS through the Police Referrral system. NQDVRS then contacts clients and provides support which can include crisis counselling, information and referrals. We encourage clients to agree to have our service contact them.
